About Christine

Christine was elected the Member of Parliament for Edinburgh West in 2017 and again in 2019. She is standing for election again in the current election.

Before Parliament, Christine was a broadcast journalist with the BBC and taught journalism at the University of Strathclyde.

Since being elected, she has campaigned on air quality, pension equality for WASPI women, medicinal cannabis, refugees' right to work and the cost of living.

Jardine opposes bleak ScotRail fare rise

Christine has today called for the Scottish Government to freeze rail fares for at least the remainder of the year, rather than hitting commuters and travellers in Edinburgh West with a 4.8% rise.
