Safer crossing needed at Farmers Junction

Local Lib Dem councillor Hal Osler met recently with representatives of Sight Scotland regarding Farmers Junction.

Hal said, “They walked me through the Telford Road/Hillhouse Road crossings and explained how hard it was to navigate for those with limited vision.

“There are limited pedestrian crossing points, none of which have rotating cones, and there can be confusion as to which direction the traffic is actually coming from.

“I know this is something that concerns a number of residents. I’m delighted that the junction has finally been resurfaced, but I will continue to push for action.

“It is vital that pedestrians  are treated as top priority.”
