Parkgrove Drive - September '23 Update

5 Sep 2023

In April, local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley brought a motion to the Council's Transport and Environment Committee, calling for action to finally be taken to tackle the many challenges on Parkgrove Drive.

This was agreed unanimously by the Committee, and a report on the issues and how best to tackle them was expected in August.

While this has not yet come forward, an update has been provided which can be viewed here.

In short, it states that the Road Safety team are engaging with both Clermiston PS and the Royal High, and plan speed and traffic data surveys are being prepared in the Parkgrove area to get a complete picture of the issues.

Ed Thornley said, "While it's good to get this update, it does mean that Parkgrove residents are still waiting for action on Parkgrove Drive.

"The rat-running, the road and pavement surfaces, pedestrian safety - all of these need to be addressed, and I look forward to seeing the results of this work and what suggestions come back."
