Flooding update - October 22

27 Sep 2022

Sadly, flooding continues to be a great concern.

Recently, progress across the Ward and the wider City and mitigation has been slow, and many residents are still having long dialogues with Scottish Water with little to show for it.

Hal Osler said, “I know the concern and stress this is causing and I am deeply troubled by the lack of action. I have spoken to the Convenor of Transport and Environment Committee and he has agreed to hold a meeting with Scottish Water, MSPs and (hopefully) Councillors and residents to try and get some proper momentum and resources focused on medium and long term solutions.

"We are fortunate in Scotland that Scottish Water is a public body, so it should be much easier for MSPs, Councillors and Scottish Water all to work together, and at the end of the day our funding sources is all the same namely you the tax payer. There is no set date as yet but you can rest assured I will be following this up.”
