Crewe Toll Fire Station

Many residents have been in touch concerned by the recent announcement by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) of the removal of the height rescue appliance (turntable ladder) from Crewe Toll Fire Station.

Local Lib Dem councillor Hal Osler said, “I took a motion to the Culture and Communities Committee asking that the Council Leader  meet urgently with the Head of Service for East Area SFRS to establish for residents, businesses and SFRS the fully implications of this decision and also that he write to the Scottish Government expressing the Council’s deep concerns and to urge the SG to make sufficient resources available to ensure SFRS service and safety levels are maintained.”
