Clermiston Crescent

Residents have been left frustrated that the worst section of the road surface still hasn't been fixed.

The road surface for much of Clermiston Crescent was repaired in June and July, but the stretch at the bottom of the hill towards Clermiston Drive was left untouched.

Local Lib Dem councillor Robert Aldridge said, "This is incredibly frustrating, especially as there was no indication in the plans that a stretch of road would be left unrepaired.

"After investigating this, we've been told that the reason for this was that the worst stretch of the road was too badly damaged for the kind of repair that was being put on the rest of the Crescent. The bottom patch will need a much more thorough fix.

"More frustratingly, we do not yet know when this last patch will be fixed. This makes Clermiston Crescent one of a few streets in the area where this has happened.

"We need to be getting repairs done properly, and getting them right the first time. We'll keep pushing to get this remaining stretch of Clermiston Crescent fixed as soon as possible."
