Welcome Week for Students

'Welcome Week' is the new name or Freshers Week and we wish students the best of luck as they begin their studies and their new lives in Edinburgh.

Southside/Newington has lots to offer in local community action. This can be accessed through Southside Community Centre, Charteris Centre and Cameron House, Prestonfield, and through the Community Councils' Engagement Officers. The Grange Association, too, are at the start of their annual Leaf Clearing Enterprise, and volunteers are always welcome. On a flip-note the University of Edinburgh's Bayes Café, situated on the ground floor with its vibrant robotic display in the Bayes Building, West Causewayside, is open and keen to welcome the public.
