Alex highlights lack of NHS Dental Care

Thousands of residents across West Edinburgh are finding it increasingly difficult to access dental care on the NHS. This follows a large number of practices withdrawing NHS treatment due to issues with fee negotiation with the NHS Scotland and the Scottish Government.

Alex has raised this directly with the First Minister on the floor of the Scottish Parliament, he said: “More and more people are having to fork out for private care, or are resorting to DIY dentistry because Scottish Ministers failed to engage properly with the dental profession to stop this happening. I’m determined to force the Government to come to the table with dental profession.”
