The application for further building on greenbelt land at Cammo has understandably been of great concern to many local residents.
The planning application to build hundreds of new homes on the Cammo greenbelt is to go before the Council Planning Committee on Wednesday 2nd March.
We have now heard the news that the planning officer’s official recommendation is for refusal of this application.
We still need to make sure the committee votes to reject the application next week. Members of the Lib Dem council group will be appearing before the committee to make the case for protecting this important part of the local greenbelt.
Over 1,000 people backed our petition against this development and we want to say a big thank you to all those who helped us keep up the community pressure. We will update you when we know more.
