Plans have been revealed for the redevelopment of the Tesco Banking site between South Gyle Crescent and Broadway.
The plans would create 300 new homes, retail and commercial spaces and a nursery. The application notice has been accepted by the Council, and a period of consultation will begin. The developers are also required to liaise with the community council.
Local Lib Dem councillor Robert Aldridge said, “It’s important that the local community is consulted properly on these plans.“There will be communications coming out soon about this development, and I would encourage residents to take any opportunity to have their say.”
Ed Thornley added, “If these plans go ahead, it further underlines the need to make sure there is enough public transport provided in South Gyle for people to get around the city.”
