There has been a lot of discussion regarding the future of the Spaces for People measures that were brought in under emergency powers last year.
Over 17,000 people took time to respond to the consultation, which represents one of the biggest engagement exercises in the Council’s history.
Sadly the outcome has been disappointing, with little regard paid by the SNP/Labour administration to the comments made in consultation responses.
Hal Osler said, “This has been a highly polarizing debate that should have brought individuals together. Sadly though, this has been a missed opportunity and runs the risk of further damaging trust in the Council and how it responds to the views of the residents it is elected to represent.”
