Saving Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre

Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre which has been providing community led facilities for the young and not so young since 1995, has been facing a real threat of closure due to a lack of funding.

Lib Dem councillor Hal Osler said, “I have been working with the Centre, Christine Jardine MP, Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP and many other elected members to try and save the Centre.

"I am delighted to say that a motion I put to Council asking for a one-off sum of £50,000 and support for the Centre from Council Officers, was fully supported and hopefully this will allow the management time to restructure and seek additional funding.”
