After a campaign led by Lib Dem councillors, polling stations across the city are being moved out of schools.
Locally, this means the following polling stations will change:
- Fox Covert Primary will move to the Leonardo Hotel on Clermiston Road
- Gylemuir Primary will move to St Thomas' Church
All other stations will remain the same.
Local Lib Dem councillor Robert Aldridge said, "I'm glad to see this being implemented, locally and across Edinburgh. At the recent Scottish Parliament election, there were still nineteen schools used for voting. It's just good sense to find places for people to vote without disrupting children's education.
"It's always been our view that alternatives were out there, and we're glad to see them now being pinned down. It's also good that the Council plans a social media campaign to make sure people are aware of the changes."
