Developers have unveiled new proposals to build on more of the greenbelt land at Cammo.
While no planning application has yet been lodged, the developers are keen to see the Council remove the greenbelt designation to allow development.
The plans for 500 new homes would come just to the south of the new housing already in construction. There is already concern over the impact of the new housing on roads, schools and health services, before any additional plans are submitted.
Liberal Democrat councillors opposed the decision of SNP and Conservative councillors to approve the Cammo application last year, and it seems reckless to consider further development on this scale while the consequences of the current development are unknown.
