Bins on Comely Bank Road

Residents have asked for more bins to be placed on Comely Bank Road so that school children who buy their lunch in Stockbridge have somewhere else rather than the pavement to put their rubbish as they walk back to school.

New Street Signs - Davidson Rd and Park

New street signs have been requested and ordered to replace the broken and faded signs on Davidson Road and Davidson Park. If you have a street sign that needs replacing please email Hal and let her know.

State of the Roads

In recent months much work has been done to “improve” the roads within the ward. Unfortunately in some cases instead of the road being fixed properly first time as most of us would like, a dressing has been applied to the surface instead. Many residents have complained about the new road surfaces being uneven and poorly finished.

Several residents in the Warriston Road area have expressed concern at the amount of cars parking on and near Warriston Road. Residents realise that when a number of funerals are taking place at the Cemetery this can increase the number of vehicles needing to park in the vicinity.

Bin Identification

One of the most frequent complaints made by local residents to the Council is that particular black street bins are full
to overflowing. Morningside Lib Dem Cllr Neil Ross has suggested a solution, namely to show a dedicated waste helpline telephone number on each communal street bin, and to give each a unique bin code number.
