Greenspace Anti-Social Behaviour

During lockdown there has been an increased usage of all our Parks and Greenspaces.

In the main this has been considerate but sadly there has been and continues to be a level of anti–social behaviour, with smashed bottles and littering being a regular occurrence.

Added to this, there has been a level of damage to Craigroyston FC’s facilities in St Mark’s Park, Warriston Playing Fields Pavilions and to the buildings at the West Gate in Inverleith Park.

Hal Osler said, “This is so upsetting for the football club, volunteer groups and residents. Thousands of pounds of needless damage has been caused. I have met with the Police, Council Officers and the local MSP to discuss the matter, and work together to try to come up with solutions to tackle the issues.”
