The second set of plans for the redevelopment of the former school buildings has been posted on the Council’s online planning portal.
These plans are for 87 mezzanine flats, within the main building, and 17 affordable flats. 98 of the flats will have one onsite parking space each and no eligibility to apply for a parking permit. Six flats will be able to apply for one on-street residents’ parking permit each and there will be 14 new on street parking spaces, including two for the city car club. The new affordable housing block is five storeys and is sandstone clad with a slate roof to match the adjacent tenement. Do take a look at the plans and see for yourself.
You can find them on the Council’s website under Planning and Building, by selecting ‘Comment on a planning application’. The reference numbers are 18/02497/FUL & 18/02493/LBC and the deadline for comments is Friday 6 July. If you wish to comment, I recommend you comment on both applications, as they will be considered separately.
