Electric Vehicle Chargers go live on Montgomery Street


The 4 electric car chargers on Montgomery Street, next to the park, are now live.

They are fast 22kW chargers with 8 charging bays and use the standardised ChargePlace Scotland app.

Leith Walk ward Cllr. Jack Caldwell will continue pushing for the Administration to be more ambitious on EV car charging for area, particularly as very few people in the ward have driveways and are reliant on public charging points. Commenting on the new infrastructure, Cllr. Caldwell said;

"It's also just one small piece of the puzzle of reducing emissions which includes more walking and cycling paths and better public transport."

Neighbouring Inverleith ward Cllr. Hal Osler obtained the following EV charger rollout in June:
