Edinburgh bin collections restarting: Update for Leith Walk community

As negotiations continue, industrial action has stopped at least until Monday 6th September. Bins across Leith Walk are now being emptied again.

Leith walk Lib Dem Councillor Jack Caldwell said;
"I've had a walk around Leith Walk ward and can confirm progress is starting on collections. The Council have also updated guidance today at edinburgh.gov.uk/binstrike. My evidence of progress;
♻️ Green (recycling) wheelie bins around Pilrig and St Calir's Road have been emptied
🚮 Black communal waste bins have been emptied around Brunswick Street, Edina Street, parts of Albion Road, the eastern end of McDonald Road and the eastern section of Montgomery Street.
I have been in touch with Waste Teams about high priority areas such as around Lorne Street, Bellevue and Easter Road and am assured these will be emptied in the coming days. Thank you for your patience."
