Drum Brae North traffic measures

Lib Dems called for an immediate review of the Drum Brae North traffic measures at the council’s Transport Committee on 22nd April.

However, the SNP and Labour councillors defeated the Lib Dem proposal. We will continue to ask for an urgent review.

My own view is that the increased number of parked cars in Parkgrove Drive and Craigmount Avenue North (which are used by cyclists) makes those roads more dangerous for cyclists. The changes at the brow of the hill (where the cross hatching was removed) make a road traffic accident more likely and the segregated cycleway is very rarely used.
