Drum Brae Community Council

Drum Brae Community Council are appealing for anyone interested in potentially joining to get in touch.

The advert reads:

"Your local Community Council needs you...we are appealing for additional residents to become community councillors to keep it going!

We need new members from local communities to represent us. We believe our residents are best placed to understand the issues affecting local people and to be active contributors in the process of local community governance.

Being a Community Councillor is a voluntary role with a basic commitment of one meeting a month (Covid restrictions/guidelines permitting).

Our duties are to represent the interests of our Community; raise awareness and understanding of this primary tier of government; and work collaboratively with our partners to ensure that we contribute to the goal of developing dynamic and sustainable communities.

We currently meet on the second Monday at 19.00 in St Andrews Church Clermiston, 17-19 Clermiston View, Edinburgh EH4 7BS.

Please contact Kenny Wright on [email protected]"

Drum Brae Community Council covers the communities of Drum Brae, Barntongate, Clermiston, Clerwood, Craigmount North, East Craigs, Bughtlin and Parkgrove.
