Edinburgh West MP Christine Jardine, Edinburgh Western MSP Alex Cole-Hamilton and Councillor Robert Aldridge have always opposed SNP and Labour plans to build housing on this site.

There are serious concerns that major new housing will make a bad traffic situation at the Barnton junction and Queensferry Road even worse.

GP surgery needed to cope with new housing

Drum Brae Leisure Centre concerns

Following the worries over school buildings last year the council has looked at other public buildings. Residents will be aware that over the festive period the Drum Brae Leisure Centre gym and Studio 1 had to be closed during strong winds. It appears that the newer part of the Leisure Centre has similar problems to those identified in the affected schools.

Anti-social behaviour declining in East Craigs - but more to do
