I recently met the developers to obtain more details of their plans and to address concerns of local residents.
Work on the site, involving demolition of the extension and site clearance, is likely to start early in 2019. Construction and development work will be co-ordinated via a construction master plan and may take up to three years. The title conditions for each flat will not allow short-term letting and each property will have a travel plan including a one year bus pass. The developer has committed to regular contact with the Community Council, Bruntsfield Primary School and other local groups and, at my suggestion, will provide updates for local residents on site notice boards.
