Council cuts raise concerns in schools and community centres

The council is working through a major review of janitorial support in schools and community centres. The SNP and Labour administration is looking to make big savings in the service.

Local Councillor Robert Aldridge said: “Janitors are a crucial part of the functioning of both schools and community centres . They often go the extra mile to make schools and community centres welcoming and safe places.

"The cuts could have a severe impact on people’s lives. I will work with Liberal Democrat colleagues to support these important services.”
