Comiston Farm House has been sold by the Council for £1.15m to Buckley Building UK Limited, an Edinburgh house builder.
They plan to retain the farm house and convert it into four flats. In addition, they plan to construct four detached properties in the grounds to the rear. The sale is subject to planning permission and I expect a planning application to be submitted soon. At a recent meeting of the Council’s Finance Committee, and in answer to my questions, the Council recognised that lessons had to be learned from the protracted sales process in this case to avoid a repeat in future.
