We are deeply concerned about the ongoing impact that the CCWEL roadworks in Roseburn are having.
During a recent meeting with the Roseburn traders we heard about the serious impact that the way in which the roadworks are being carried out are having on the businesses.
Shamefully, the SNP council administration declined to consider any form of compensation despite the length of time that the roadworks are expected to take.
This is despite successful schemes being set up in other parts of the City such as Leith Walk.
We urgently need action from the council to ensure that business who have already struggled through Covid are not forced to close due to the poor planning of these works.
