Braid Road and Comiston Road consultation

Local residents are being consulted on options for Braid Road and Comiston Road.  These options are for re-opening Braid Road in both directions and for making changes to Comiston Road to improve access for local residents and to improve public transport.

This consultation is aimed primarily at residents living in the Braid Estate, the Braid Hills area and also residents living on Comiston Road but residents elsewhere can also take part.  A letter was issued to the target area residents on 20 September inviting their participation in the online consultation, which can be accessed via the link below.  Paper copies of the survey are also available (call 0131 200 2000 and quote 'proposals for Comiston Road and Braid Road'). If you have any issues, contact the Council via [email protected] and copy me in.

The survey closes on 10 October and the results should be reported to a meeting of the Council's Transport Committee on 11 November 2021.

The letter that was issued by the Council, a map of the distribution area and the survey questions are attached below.  If they don't appear immediately, click the 'page refresh' button a few times until they do.

Just to be clear, residents who live outside the target area are also able to take part in the consultation.  I understand that the responses will be reported from within the target area and from across all responses to the survey in total.
