Bin Strikes off: here's what will happen next across Edinburgh

Unions have suspended their industrial action while they consult their members on a new pay offer, and they are recommending the deal is accepted. This means that Monday's proposed bin strikes are off.

Good progress has been made today and last night emptying communal bins across South Leith and Pilrig but are still ongoing. Kerbside collections of grey and green bins will continue as normal next week. Garden waste and blue box glass collections will restart from 13 September onward. Residents should put kerbside bins out by 6am on their scheduled day. If your bin is not collected, please leave it out and staff will get to it as soon as they can.Extra waste will be collected and should be left bagged next to the right communal or kerbside bin.
As before, all details are on the Council website at edinburgh.gov.uk/binstrike
