22 bus axed from Leith Walk

Lothian Buses have temporarily cut the service from Leith Walk/Elm Row and it now terminates at Waterloo Place.

Leith Walk ward Cllr. Jack Caldwell is pressing Lothian Buses to reinstate the service after Summer. However the 16 is now more frequent.

On Hune 10th, Cllr Caldwell met with Lothian Buses to discuss the issue and raised the reduction of service from Leith Walk to Waverley Steps, Ocean Terminal, Edinburgh College Sighthill and the Gyle. Lothian Buses have since stopped the 16 at Waverley Steps.

Cllr. Caldwell also asked Lothian Buses to monitor the change in number 16 passenger numbers.

Lothian Buses have confirmed they will perform another review in September.
