Cllr Caldwell obtains data on accessible flats

Ground-floor accessible flats in areas like Leith, Broughton, Bonnington and Hillside are vital to allow people with mobility issues to remain in our community.

The Council's Acquisitions and Disposals scheme has been running for a number of years and seeks to standardise Council homes together in stairwells to reduce costs.

Councillor Caldwell said "While I'm glad to see a net increase of accessible homes, we desperately need to preserve existing stock too due to their rarity."
